Midpoint Reflection

At first I thought I was going to be working with little children but I am at the medical record department. Internship have not really change. I am now familiar with everything because I do the same thing over and over. Something that is different at the workplace from school is that, at the hospital ID needs to be easily observable in a area above the waist and people are dressed professionally. But in both, hospital and school you socialise with other. I don't really learned new skills, just that some day I try to do the work a little bit faster because I don't like starting with something that I left the day before. I am not a talkative person. When I enter the room I say hi to everyone and I get busy. If I don't understand something I ask the person to repeat himself or if I don't have anything to do I don't just sit there. I always ask for something that need to be done. There isn't any challenges, just that I'm really tired after internship and feel like sleeping but I have to do my homework. Dealing with internship and school at the same time is overwealming . Too much to think of, to much to handle. There are three more weeks until internship is over. I would like to complete all my hours,I don't want any problems that will make me fail the class. During these day I learned a lot about New York City. Transportation can be one of the example. I also meet different faces in the street, people that looks weird to me, normal people, old people young people...New York is one of the busy city that exist on earth,it is a big urban area.

  1. Have you ever thought about asking your mentor for more responsibilities? She might be able to give you additional work that would help to vary your days.

As for your comments on NYC, it is indeed in interesting place with people with every imaginable characteristic. That diversity is what makes NYC one of the world's best cities.
